Once again Finney’s has increased their program by bringing boxing and kickboxing standout on as one of the trainers. Kevin “The Hitman” Engel has been training with Finney’s for over 7 years and has since expanded his training knowledge, by traveling to Youngstown, OH to train under Jack Lowe. Lowe trains World Champion boxer Kelly Pavlik. Along with the knowledge from the Lowe, Engel has trained with other World Champions Jermaine Taylor and Antonio Tarver. The knowledge he has gained from these camps is the reason Jesse Finney has brought him on not only as a fighter, but as the standup trainer for Finney’s MMA. Engel will mirror Finney with training of the fighters and getting them ready for their fights. Don’t think Engel has hung up his gloves, he is still training for upcoming boxing and World Combat League(WCL) matches in 2009. Kevin has a 15-1 professional boxing record and is the WBF North American Light Heavyweight Champion. We are glad to have Kevin on board not only as a fighter but as a trainer.
