Our fighter development system was created to help fighters develop the skills it takes to make it in the world of Mixed Martial Arts. This system mirrors that of Major League Baseball, where players start at a development league and move up based on their skills and performance. Fighters start out fighting in a smaller venue and work their way up into the professional-level events. We are able to do this because of the of MMA events we ourselves promote and also the affiliations we have established with various professional MMA companies.
Fighters start out with training, sparring stand up, and, for some, competing in grappling tournaments or exhibition kickboxing matches until they are ready to compete in their first MMA match. This first fight typically occurs on the undercard of the St. Louis based Shamrock Promotions or one of our other partners in St. Louis.
As the amateur gains more experience and wins more fights, he or she will be given a professional fight on one of our affiliate shows, such as the local promotion Shamrock Fighting Championships. When the professional fighter has proven that he is ready for bigger opportunities, he will be given a fight on a national promotion. Our professionals fighters currently compete for Shark Fights, Bellator, MFC, Strikeforce, and the UFC.
