Last Saturday, August 28th, Battles For Fame delivered an exciting and action-packed night of amateur boxing, kickboxing and MMA once again. Every seat in the house was filled for the event, making it one more in the long list of successful sell-outs at the Viking in St Louis. This night, the fans were treated to some truly great action. The fight card was stacked with 10 fights, including a grappling exhibition featuring Finney’s MMA amateur Chadd Vogt. On this night, both fighters seemed equally matched and the bout ended in a draw, with both fighters leaving everything they had in the cage. The night also saw 3 unanimous decisions, 3 TKOs, a submission and a KO, both of which came less than 1 minute into the first round. The final match of the night featured another of Finney’s MMA amateur fighters, Luke Foster, in MMA action. Luke was victorious via rear naked choke less than 30 seconds into the first round. The fans were certainly not left wishing for more action on this night. Next up, will be the Extreme Fight Party, September 11th at the Stratford Inn in Fenton, MO. This will be another opportunity for MMA fans in the area to experience live boxing, kickboxing and MMA action inside the cage, including several of Finney’s MMA’s amateur fighters competing for Extreme Fight League titles.
